Privacy & Local Processing

ExamMint Resizer is built with a strict "Privacy First" architecture. Unlike other online tools, we do not upload your photos to any server. All image processing (resizing, cropping, compression) happens locally on your device (browser). This means your sensitive exam documents strictly remain yours and never leave your computer or phone.

Device Compatibility & Limitations

Because all processing happens in your browser to protect your privacy, performance directly depends on your device's capabilities.

  • Smart File Limits: To ensure smooth performance and prevent crashes, we automatically adjust the maximum file upload size based on your device's available memory (RAM):
    • 6MB Limit: For devices with 2GB RAM or less (older phones).
    • 10MB Limit: For devices with 4GB to 6GB RAM (mid-range phones).
    • 15MB Limit: For devices with 8GB+ RAM (high-end phones & PCs).
  • Older Mobile Devices: Very old Android or iOS devices might process images slower than modern desktops or phones.
  • Browser Storage: We use your browser's temporary storage to save your progress and settings. Clearing your browser cache will reset the app state.

HEIC/HEIF Support

We now fully support .heic and .heif image formats, commonly used by iPhones and iPads. You can directly upload these images without needing to convert them first.

Improved Compression Algorithm

We've upgraded our compression engine to ensure your photos meet the strict KB size limits of exams like UPSC and SSC without losing visual clarity.

Offline Capability

ExamMint Resizer works offline once loaded. You can install it as an app on your phone (PWA) and use it even without an Internet connection.
